CBD oil is a hemp extract rich in cannabidiol (CBD) as well as at least 112 other naturally occurring chemical compounds. In our case, it is extracted from the hemp plant using a gentle, clean, low temperature process which preserves all the plants natural properties. It can be further processed in various forms.

Full spectrum extract contains all 113+ phytochemicals naturally found in the plant including CBD, trace cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, it is typically a brown, sticky paste. Broad spectrum extract is similar to full spectrum apart from having the THC removed, it is typically a golden coloured sticky paste. Isolate is a highly processed pure white powder consisting of over 99% cannabidiol. The vast majority of our products are made with full spectrum CBD extracts which we believe to be superior to the others based on the principle of the entourage effect (see next FAQ).

The entourage effect is a term coined by leading Israeli scientists Dr Shimon Ben-Shabbat and Dr Raphael Mechoulam which theorises that when the many components of the hemp plant (Cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, fats) interact, the synergistic effect is much stronger than a component used in isolation.

The amount of pure Cannabidiol (CBD) in a product is arguably a poor way to judge its quality and effectiveness for a number of reasons. Many of these products are made using bulk produced cheap CBD isolate with no traceabilty. We follow the principle of the entourage effect (see above) theorising that all of the 113+ cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids of the hemp plant work together with the body’s endocannabinoid system for optimum results. Furthermore by extracting CBD from our organic flower without using a solvent, we are able to maintain the integrity of the plant’s natural properties even further. 


Feedback from our clients is that even our lower strength 300mg oil is superior to those advertising to be many times stronger.

Because we only manufacture using natural products, there will always be slight variations. Each crop of flower will have subtly different characteristics compared to the previous one based on sunlight, rainfall and atmospheric conditions amongst other things. This also applies to our balms and cosmetics, a natural product like beeswax will always be a little different in texture and scent which will in turn effect the finished products slightly. You could almost think of it like wine, which is different year to year even when grown from the same vines.
