From Seed to Sale
Our CBD flower
Our CBD flower starts life in Piemonte, Northern Italy on a fourth generation, family run farm.
The facility is unique in being one of the only hemp cultivators in Europe to hold full EU organic certification.
This means that the soil has been clean of any contaminants for 5 years and the only things that come into contact with our crop are mineral rich Piemontese soil, sunlight and magnetised water (see more below).
Our Geneticist
Our geneticist selects and breeds unique CBD strains, bred specifically for their high and diverse cannabinoid and terpene profiles.
After spending their first few weeks in the nursery, they are ready to be transferred into the ground.
They will spend the next 12 weeks here until harvested.
Organic farming
Organic farming of this kind is very labour intensive and requires a special level of detail.
Each individual plant is inspected daily to check the plant’s health and remove any pests.
The water they receive is magnetised to a specific frequency which helps to increase the plant’s yield, ward off insects and increase the plants defences against disease.
Harvesting
The flower is harvested carefully by hand and sent to dry.
The machine used to dry the flowers is powered by biomass from the farm which is converted into methane and subsequently electricity.
It produces enough power to run the farm as well as producing a surplus for the local community, helping to reduce the carbon footprint for everyone.
Lab Extraction
The dried flower Is again inspected before being sent to the lab.
Here, Organic CBD crude oil is extracted from the flower at a low temperature without using a solvent, preserving the plant’s precious cannabinoids and terpenes which are often lost or degraded when extracting using a solvent.
From Seed to Sale
The resulting extract is then blended with the finest, natural ,organic ingredients to produce our finished tinctures, balms and cosmetics.
We are proud to say that we have 100% responsibility and control over our manufacturing process and that that all our ingredients are certified organic and traceable.
